Barbara Quinn grew up in the New York City suburbs and graduated from Brandeis University with a BA in Fine Arts. She has exhibited in the Washington, DC area.

Her paintings are inspired by her travels and by everyday objects, but whatever her subject matter, her paintings are about light and shadow, color, and movement.
